We’re all about indulging from time to time, whether it’s enjoying a glass of red wine with dinner or buying the pair of heels you’ve had your eye on forever. Or—one of our favorites—relaxing with a face mask on while you catch up on your favorite TV show or soak in a bubble bath. Ahhh…does it get any better than that? But there’s something we enjoy even more than using a face mask—and that would be using multiple face masks, at the same time. If you haven’t tried multi-masking yet, it’s time to get on it! Here, learn about the benefits of multi-masking and how to multi-mask with our favorite L'Oréal clay face masks.
WHY YOU SHOULD TRY MULTI-MASKING
Before you get your multi-mask on, it’s important to understand the thought behind this buzzy skin care trend. As you’re probably well aware, it’s possible to experience different skin issues on different parts of your face. For example, you may find that your T-zone (which includes your forehead, nose, and chin) is comprised of oily skin, whereas the skin around your nose might be drier than other areas, and your cheeks can look rough or dull. So, why use one face mask all over when you can apply different ones to different areas (all at the same time) to address your varied skin concerns? That’s the beauty of multi-masking!
HOW TO PICK THE BEST FACE MASKS TO MULTI-MASK WITH
The first step when it comes to multi-masking is to choose the masks you want to use. Assess the skin care concerns you want to address, then find the masks that match. HOW TO USE OUR CLAY MASKS TO MULTI-MASK
Now, how do you actually put your masks to use? First, cleanse your complexion with a facial cleanser—you don’t want to apply a mask on top of skin that’s anything less than completely clean. Then, apply an even layer of each of your masks onto clean, dry skin. Apply one mask at a time, focusing the product on the area it’s suited to help. Leave your clay masks on for 10-15 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water. Follow up with a moisturizer that’s formulated for your skin type and your skin pampering session is complete!
As for how often you should repeat your multi-masking routine, our clay masks are formulated to be used two to three times a week for best results. Think you can carve out time for a little TLC a couple of times a week? You deserve it!
