Bentonite is a white clay mostly found in the midwestern United States and in Canada. When applied topically, bentonite clay benefits for skin (i.e. bentonite clay face wash, bentonite clay face mask) provide highly absorbent properties.  As a result, bentonite can help to absorb sebum from the surface of the skin thus helping to unclog pores and remove toxins from the skin’s surface layer. 123
