Hillary Cohen is the Co-Founder and CEO of Every Day Action, a nonprofit organization that aims to
eliminate food waste by redistributing unused meals from film and TV sets and beyond to communities
across Los Angeles facing food insecurity.
After spending over a decade on set working as both an Assistant Director and Producer on various film
and television projects including Mad Men and The Office, Hillary witnessed an alarming amount of food
waste generated on sets industry-wide and decided change was needed.
Since its creation in 2020, Every Day Action has grown to rescue over 80,000 meals annually, helping a
network of over 40 beneficiaries in need across a 90-mile radius each day. Every Day Action takes pride
in being an active part of positive change for the planet and underserved communities across Los
Angeles. As a result of Hillary and her teams’ efforts, Every Day Action is a silver Anthem Award winner
and L.A. Works Civic Leadership and Impact Award finalist.
