Step 1: Put on a headband. Start by placing an elastic headband over top of your hair, just above your ears.

Step 2: Pull your hair into a ponytail. Next, gather the ends in your hands like a ponytail.

Step 3: Dutch braid along your hairline. Starting on the thicker side of your side part, as you weave your braid back towards the crown of your head, continually add more pieces of hair to your braid. Step 1: Pull your hair into a ponytail. Messy buns are meant to be, well, messy.
